Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread

When we lived in Reno, my visiting teacher brought over this bread when she came to see me in October. It was so amazing that I asked for the recipe. I've made it every fall ever since. I bring it to the women I visit and my family LOVES it. She called it "Harvest Loaf Cake" but I don't care for the word loaf so I renamed it. :)

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread*

1/2 c unsalted butter
1 c sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c pumpkin
1 3/4 c flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp ground cloves
3/4 c semi sweet chocolate chips

Mix together ingredients except chips until well blended. Stir in chips. Spoon into a greased bread pan. Bake at 350 for about an hour.

*I usually double this recipe and make 6 mini loaves. If you do the small loaves you only need to bake for 45 minutes.

  1. Loaf...lol! I've been experimenting with different recipes for this and have never found one that I love. I will have to give this a try!
